Qatar Petroleum District

QP District (formerly Barwa Financial District) is the name of a recently constructed project situated in the West Bay area of Doha, Qatar. The project is designed to be a complex of 10 state-of-the-art high rise buildings which will serve as the headquarters of Qatar
Petroleum. The project involves the construction of nine (9) office towers ranging from 17 to 47 storeys, 1no. 29 storeys five-star hotel, parking building, etc. With a total built-up area of 697,936m², the entire project site area is approximately 693,400m² comprising offices (345,000m²), common areas (9,250m²), hotel complex (65,300m²) and auditorium (8,000m²).

The technical solution comprised of eight fixed and three movable telescopic roof cars. The vertical telescopic machine base (for out-of-sight parking), horizontal jib ranging 16 metre to 34 metre jib outreach, fixed angle jib at 5.5 degrees. All ten telescopic machines are provided with glass replacement units for lifting weights of up to 350 kg. Also, there are approximately 300 metres of monorail, including self hoisting suspended cradles and special trolleys to access the lower level areas of the hotel tower.
