Project Overview
The Burj Al Arab is one of the world’s most iconic luxury hospitality developments and a globally recognised symbol of Dubai. Standing approximately 321 metres above a man-made island off Jumeirah Beach, the development is renowned for its distinctive sail-shaped architecture and world-class guest experience.
The hotel comprises 202 luxury duplex suites across 28 occupied levels and incorporates a sophisticated vertical transportation system designed to support guests, staff, operational services and premium hospitality functions.
Dunbar & Boardman was appointed as the independent Vertical Transportation Consultant and remained involved throughout key stages of the project from concept development through to commissioning and handover.
